I was skeptical at first, but not anymore. This works great so far (2 months) in Central Florida during the wet winter. Velcro hanging only on the sides and use pegs provided to support the Velcro on top. I use more pins on the sides if necessary. I have a 35-pound dog that quickly learned to go in and out with verbal praise and following my example. I easily removed the lace gaudy top left, looks like a funeral veil. Sometimes it sticks to my metal door
